Kentucky Samaritan's Purse Trip - West Ridge Church

Samaritan’s Purse is ministering to the people of Mayfield, Kentucky in the aftermath of a historic tornado system that swept across the Western part of the state. Far beyond the physical help you will extend to the homeowners, the spiritual and emotional support you offer to them is even more important. KEY INFORMATION:

Cost: Each team member is responsible for meals while traveling to/from location and for providing a negative COVID test. *Lodging and all meals at the site are provided free of charge.

Team Members: Men, Women, and Youth 14 years and above who are accompanied by their parent/legal guardian.

Key information:

  • No experience necessary, orientation/training provided.
  • Team members will provide own transportation and/or carpool to Mayfield, Kentucky.
  • Need to bring twin-size bedding, pillow, towels, and personal hygiene items.
  • At your own expense, each team member must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test. PCR, Rapid & Home tests are acceptable. Test must be run within 72 hours of check-in. This must be presented to staff upon check-in at the site and will be required regardless of vaccination status.
  • Each team member must create a Samaritan’s Purse account and complete a free background check through their organization.
  • Tools will be provided. Team members are welcome to bring their own tool belts and small hand tools. Team members should dress in long pants and bring work gloves, safety glasses, and sturdy boots.
