The Gift Offering is a challenge to give a gift to God greater than any single gift you give this year. It’s a yearly reminder for each of us to keep Jesus as the focus of Christmas.
This year, we had the amazing opportunity to not only celebrate 26 years of serving Northwest Atlanta, but also to celebrate the grand opening of our Special Needs building in September! Over the past 10 years, God has blessed our Special Needs Ministry more than I ever could have imagined, and I am excited to see what He has in store for our future as we continue to reach families with loved ones with special needs in our community.
For the past 26 years, during the Christmas season, we have invited our church to join us in thanking Him for all that He has blessed us with by giving God a gift at Christmas that is greater than any other gift that we give this season. The Gift Offering is a yearly reminder to keep Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas, in the forefront of our minds.
Some of the greatest impact moments and life change stories have resulted directly from the Gift Offering. As you take a moment to read through this year’s initiatives, be reminded that behind each of these are stories of people who have been, and will be, forever impacted by your generosity.
Let’s be bold together in our generosity and be ready to celebrate all that God will do in the days ahead. Amy and I are praying for God’s blessings on you and your family during this Christmas season. You are loved!
Through your generosity, here’s what we can accomplish for God’s Kingdom with our Gift Offering and Vision Fund:
Since the grand opening of our Special Needs Building in September, God has used our new facility to reach families in our community and change lives. We have seen tremendous growth over the past few months; however, our work is ongoing! While a large percentage of the $5 million building project has been paid off, we pray that the Lord would provide the resources to pay off the remaining $1.3 million so we can free up valuable ministry dollars to continue expanding and investing in our special needs programs.
Approximately 357,000 people live in a 10-mile radius around West Ridge Church, and we believe that every one of them deserves the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are especially passionate about reaching a group of people that are largely overlooked in our community: families who have loved ones with special needs. Since launching our Special Needs Ministry, this ministry has grown, flourished, and blessed many families who have struggled to find the support and community that they need.
At West Ridge, we believe we are called to invest in the next generation of ministry leaders. By creating a year-round internship program, our goal is to prepare our future leaders to live from the fullness of who God created them to be, but also to explore the unique ways He desires them to use their God-given gifts and talents to advance His Kingdom.

This upcoming year, we are excited to expand our Church Planting network with the launch of Kingdom City Church (Blake & Katie Odgers), which will minister to the Brookhaven area of Atlanta and we will continue to support Take Hold Church in Scotland (Paul & Angela Richardson), Heirloom Church in Austin, TX (Dakota & Maggie Adair). We are also looking forward to launching new church planting efforts in Israel.
