21 Days Of Prayer | Day 1 - West Ridge Church

Prayer Guide: Day 1

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8

The God of the Bible is a God of fresh starts and second chances. Even when we wander away, Jesus is calling us back home and inviting us to begin again. God’s Word promises that He will never reject a broken and repentant heart (Psalm 51:17) meaning that if we humbly come to God aware of our brokenness and great need for Him, He is ready and willing to receive us—every time. Our God is a good Father who delights in giving grace and showing mercy. We stir His heart when we draw near to Him in faith and seek to walk in continual conversation with Him through prayer.

Today, let’s rest in his promise that if we draw near to him, He will draw near to us.

Personal Prayer Focus:

As Pastor Brian has reminded us in the past: “Revival always begins with repentance.” We will be asking God to do some big things over the course of the next 21 days, but we must first begin with a broken and repentant heart. Let’s begin by asking God to break our hearts for what breaks His and that He would help us to live our lives in greater dependence upon Him. Pray for this to happen, not only in yourself, but in the people and families of West Ridge Church like we have never seen before.

West Ridge Church Prayer Focus:

Pray for God’s grace, wisdom, and blessing over our pastors, elders, and staff as they continue leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
