Alabama Disaster Relief - West Ridge Church

In September, Hurricane Sally pummeled Baldwin County, Alabama with long, sustained winds reaching 105mph. Thousands of families were affected by the destruction this hurricane caused. Join us as we travel to Foley, Alabama to partner with Samaritan’s Purse to provide relief and minister to these families in Foley, Alabama. Our response to this storm includes mud outs, chainsaw work, roof tarping, and debris removal. Sign up now to help us bring physical relief and the hope of Jesus to this hurting community!

Dates: Sunday, November 8 – Friday, November 13

Cost: Each team member is responsible for meals while traveling to/from location and for providing a negative COVID test. *Lodging and all meals at the site are provided free of charge.

Team Members: Men, Women, and Youth 14 years and above who are accompanied by their parent/legal guardian


Key information:

  • No experience necessary, orientation/training provided.
  • Team members will carpool to Foley, Alabama.
  • Need to bring twin sized cot or air mattress (no larger).
  • Must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test at own expense. Test results within 72 hours ideal, and test cannot be older than 5 days (120 hours) at check-in.
  • Each team member, must create a Samaritan’s Purse account and complete free background check through their organization.
  • Tools will be provided. Team members are welcome to bring their own tool belts and small hand tools. Team members should dress in long pants and bring work gloves, safety glasses, and sturdy boots.
