One in a Million is a 7-session Bible study that follows the Israelites’ journey from Egypt to the Promised Land (Exodus through Deuteronomy) as a picture of our own spiritual journey.

The title comes from the fact that out of approximately two million Israelites who left Egypt, only Joshua and Caleb entered the Promised Land.

The central message of this study is that while many believers know God’s promises, far fewer experience the abundant life He desires for them. God has more for us than simply “getting by” spiritually.

Throughout the study, Priscilla Shirer explores:

– Why many believers find themselves in a “wilderness” season marked by fear, doubt, or disobedience.

– How God uses wilderness seasons to prepare us, not punish us.

– What it looks like to walk in greater faith, obedience, and intimacy with Him.

– How we can experience the life of purpose and freedom God intends for us.

The study follows three stages of the Israelites’ journey:

1. Egypt – Deliverance

God rescues His people.

2. The Wilderness – Testing and Growth

God develops our faith and teaches us to trust Him.

3. The Promised Land – Abundant Life

Living in God’s purpose through faith and obedience.

Charene Ross Wells accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of 14 and has a deep passion for sharing Christ with other women, so they may grow in their knowledge of Him and experience His love.

She is married to her best friend, Mike, and has a daughter, Lauren. They live in Acworth.

Charene enjoys gourmet cooking, traveling, reading great books, watching movies, and spending quality time with family and friends. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and has spent more than 20 years helping companies improve their business processes.

Over a decade ago, Charene joined West Ridge, where she loves the sermons, praise and worship, and the sense of fellowship. She looks forward to facilitating this Bible study and connecting with the women in the group as we grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and encourage one another through God’s Word.
