Abide – A Study of 1, 2, 3 John
This new study group is open to anyone seeking to join an in-person gathering in my home located off Cedarcrest Road. The weeks we meet will revolve around the Paulding County School calendar. Parking can be tight, so don’t be bashful about carpooling with a friend. We start each Monday night at 6:30. Feel free to arrive anytime around 6:15 to get yourself a seat, get a drink, and chat with the other ladies in our group. This study by J. Wilkin is a verse-by-verse study of the books of 1, 2, & 3 John. There will also be a video to watch each week we gather. There is daily homework about 5 days out of the week in the workbook.
The study summary: How can we hold on to assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us? In these three short letters, the apostle John reminds an earthly church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, & 3 John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.
