West Ridge School of Church Planting is a result of the vision of Pastor Brian Bloye. Pastor Brian and his staff started West Ridge Church in 1997. It is now recognized as one of the fastest growing churches in America. While growing a great church Pastor Brian has cast a vision for starting churches all over the world. West Ridge Church currently is involved in church plants in Russia, Jamaica, Cuba, Israel, Egypt, India, and the Far East. The church has participated and partnered in church plants in Utah, New Jersey, and 8 church plants in the Atlanta area.

This will be the West Ridge School of Church Planting’s second year. The current class will result in 5 churches being planted in the Atlanta area. One church launched at Easter 2006 and is currently averaging over 200 attendees in its first six weeks. The Church @ the Ridge is located just eight miles from the West Ridge Campus.

• The West Ridge Church School of Church Planting is open to men that are called by God to plant churches around the world (both those currently planting and those initiating the process), individuals interested in serving on a staff of a church plant, or those that men interested in exploring church planting for the future.
• The School meets on the second Saturday of each month beginning in September and ending in August. Sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. so that bi-vocational pastors and others may attend.
• The School explores the best in training resources and guest speakers that are practicing the principles of the training you will receive. The staff of West Ridge Church, current church planters, and friends of West Ridge currently provide instruction at the school.
• The School seeks to provide unpaid internships to students in our current church plants.
• The School connects church planters for support and encouragement.
• The School is open to training men from most evangelical traditions that agree with basic Christian doctrines about God, Jesus, the Bible, etc.
• The School is directed by Jim Akins, Pastor of Church Planting at West Ridge Church. Jim has over 16 years of church planting experience as pastor and consultant in a denominational position. He has served on the West Ridge Church staff since 2005.
• The School provides coaching, encouragement, and support to the Church Planter’s wife. Amy Bloye is leading a team of wives to mentor the Church Planter’s wives.
